On the  12th November 2025, the Umiew team held a meeting with the owners of the sand mining areas at Pomkaniew village, Mylliem Block. During the meeting, the owners expressed their willingness to provide their land for the implementation of improvement and protection activities.

CMU and SPMU teams conducted a joint visit to Maweitnai and Rangbihbih VPICs

On the 12th October 2025, the CMU and SPMU teams conducted a joint visit to Maweitnai and Rangbihbih VPICs to assess the site feasibility of the winning ideas from FPA 2 and FPA 3. During the visit, the teams also interacted with the community members regarding the Livelihood Components, such as Mushroom Cultivation and Fruit Processing.

A joint team from CMU-Ganol Engineers and the Water Resources Department, led by Shri Canserth R. Marak (Junior Engineer) and Shri Balseng M. Sangma (Surveyor) of Samanda Block, conducted a site visit to Mandal Nokat VPIC on 11th November 2025.
During the feasibility assessment, two suitable locations were identified for the construction of Water Conservation Ponds with Spillway Check Dams. The proposed structures are expected to benefit seven households (HHs), providing water for both irrigation and domestic use.

On 10th November 2025, the CMU-Ganol Engineers along with the Water Resources Department team led by Shri. Bilseng Sangma, JE, and the Sectional Assistant of Rongram Block, conducted a joint site verification visit to Durakalakgre, Rengsangre, and Jendragre villages. A total of seven sites were inspected, out of which three were found feasible for implementation.

FPA 1 Competition conducted at Pomlakrai Rngi Shyllong VPIC.

The FPA 1 Competition was successfully conducted at Pomlakrai Rngi Shyllong VPIC, marked their creativity and imagination. The event featured two main activities: the Storytelling Competition and the Drawing Competition, which saw enthusiastic participation from different age groups across the community. A total of 44 participants took part, reflecting strong community involvement and inclusiveness. The Storytelling Competition highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and the need to preserve ancestral wisdom.

Ganol-Catchment team conducted a meeting on VPIC formation at Old Harigaon Village under Rerapara Block , South West Garo Hills District.

On the 5th November 2025, the Ganol-Catchment team conducted a meeting on VPIC formation at Old Harigaon Village under Rerapara Block , South West Garo Hills District  which comprises 104 households and is inhabited by the Koch community. During the meeting, the team discussed the project overview, objectives, and funding aspects. Further discussions were held on the implementation process covering plantation activities, livelihood initiatives, SWC measures, PRA, FPA, and the preparation of VLMAP.

On 5th November 2025, the Ganol Catchment team held a community meeting at Karaitola Village under Rerapara Block, South West Garo Hills District, to facilitate the formation of the Village Project Implementation Committee (VPIC). The village consists of 66  households, inhabited by the Koch community under the Rerapara Block in the South West Garo Hills District.
