On 10th December 2025, the Ganol-CMU team conducted the FPA Contest 2 & 3 at Alotgre Village under Selsella Block. Community members showcased a variety of innovative ideas, with 13 contestants presenting their proposals. The winning ideas were as follows:
 

A. Livelihood Category

1st Prize: Horticulture (Orange)
2nd Prize: Piggery
3rd Prize: Bee Keeping


B. Soil & Water Conservation Category

1st Prize: Water Tank
2nd Prize: CC Retaining Wall
3rd Prize: Dug-out Pond

The Umiew CMU team conducted FPA Contest 2 and 3 at Iewpomtiah village, Mawryngkneng Block.

The Umiew CMU team conducted FPA Contest 2 and 3 on 18 November 2025 at Iewpomtiah village under Mawryngkneng Block. A total of 14 participants—7 from FPA Contest 2 and 7 from FPA Contest 3—presented their innovative ideas and proposals. The programme witnessed active community participation and demonstrated a strong commitment towards sustainable development and environmental protection.

An awareness programme with the landowners.

An awareness programme with the landowners of 12 Mer was conducted on 14 November 2025 in the presence of the Headman and the Environment Manager from the SPMU. The session began with a briefing on the importance of environmental conservation, emphasising the role of clean air, water, and healthy ecosystems in sustaining human life. This was followed by an explanation of the plantation activities under the project, including the various initiatives and support that will be extended to the landowners.

Field Visit Summary – Post-Survey Plantation Inspection 
The team visited the plantation areas at Pomkaniew, Lynkien Shyiap, and Mawiong under Mylliem Block for the post-survey plantation assessment on the 1st Nov 2025. During the visit, it was observed that ANR plantation activities were carried out effectively, with saplings planted appropriately in the gaps of the existing forest. The survival rate of the saplings is excellent, and they appear healthy and well-maintained.

The Field Engineers conducted a field inspection at Mylliem Marbaniang.

On 13th November 2025, the Field Engineers conducted a field inspection at Mylliem Marbaniang under the Mylliem subdivision of the East Khasi Hills district. The purpose of the visit was to monitor the progress of VLMAP activities, including the construction of the irrigation canal, retaining wall, and structures for mushroom cultivation.

VPIC Formation Meeting was held at Kanchikona Village under Rerapara Block, South West Garo Hills District.

On 14th November 2025, a VPIC Formation Meeting was held at Kanchikona Village under Rerapara Block, South West Garo Hills District. Kanchikona Village has 54 households and is inhabited by the Koch tribe.

During the meeting, the team provided a detailed explanation of the project objectives, the VPIC formation process, and the roles and responsibilities of the Executive Members, VCF, Local Purchase Committee, and Working Committee. The team also highlighted upcoming activities related to Plantation, FPA, and Soil & Water Conservation (SWC).

The event saw enthusiastic community participation, with 12 participants in FPA Contest 2 and 16 participants in FPA Contest 3. The programme reflected strong community engagement and a shared commitment toward sustainable development and environmental conservation.
