On 1st December 2025, the Umiew CMU team successfully conducted FPA Contest 2 and FPA Contest 3 at Mawnianglah VPIC, drawing enthusiastic participation from community members across all age groups.
The contests served as an important platform for the community—men, women, and youth—to share innovative ideas focused on:Building efficient and sustainable livelihoods, and Protecting and conserving vital soil and water resources.
A key theme emerging from FPA Contest 3 was the community’s concern regarding soil and water conservation (SWC). Participants highlighted that soil erosion in agricultural fields is causing significant declines in crop productivity, emphasizing the urgent need for effective SWC interventions.There were total of 12 active participants in FPA contest 2, and 10 participants in FPA contest 3
